Clanville Draintech, Draintech Tankers, Dorset County Water and RM Liquid Disposal now work under one name, with the same teams and the same standards.
We are proud to share some news. Clanville Draintech, Draintech Tankers, Dorset County Water and RM Liquid Disposal are now part of RescueRod. Four established businesses, brought together under one name, with one number that reaches all five specialist departments.

These businesses did not arrive from nowhere. They grew up side by side across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, often on the same sites, often for the same customers, frequently lending each other a tanker, an engineer or a spare pair of hands on a difficult day. Rob Simpson, our Managing Director, built Clanville Draintech and Draintech Tankers before buying Rescue Rod, which already held RM Liquid Disposal and Dorset County Water. From that point onwards the businesses were run as one in everything but name. Consolidating them makes official what was already true on the ground.
What stays exactly where it is. Everything you value stays exactly where it is. The engineer who knows the layout of your site still turns up. The person who answers the phone is the same person who answered it last month. Your account, your paperwork and your point of contact carry on without interruption. We are not a new company. We are a 45-year-old family business that has stopped answering to four names.
What you gain. You gain the rest of us. One call now reaches five divisions: drainage, civil engineering, water engineering, transport, and mechanical and electrical. If a drainage job turns into a civils job, or a tanker job needs a water engineer, there is no second supplier to find and no second contract to sign. One number, one team and the full weight of the group behind every job.

Drain unblocking · CCTV surveys · pipe lining · high power jetting

Vacuum tankers · septic and cesspit emptying · jetvac services

Drainage systems · pump station and treatment plant installations

Burst mains · leak detection · pipe replacement · plumbing

Pump station and treatment plant maintenance · planned preventive maintenance (PPM) contracts
RescueRod was established in 1981 and remains family-owned and independently run. Around 60 people work for us across three depots: Poole, which is our head office, Andover and Marchwood in Southampton. We cover Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and beyond. Our clients include the NFDC, Wessex Water, the NHS, the RNLI, BCP Council, CBRE, Barchester Healthcare, South Western Railways and the MOD. Those relationships are earned over years, and they are the clearest measure of how we work.

Bringing the businesses together gave us a good reason to refresh how we look. RescueRod has a new logo and a new look that will carry across everything we do, from the tankers and vans on the road to the paperwork you receive.
The new mark keeps the red and white you already recognise on our vehicles. What is new is the consistency. One logo, one set of colours and one look, whether we are unblocking a drain at a house or running a scheme for a water company.
You will see it arrive gradually rather than overnight. Vehicles are being rebranded department by department, and signs and uniforms follow. If an engineer turns up in a van with the old logo, or you see an old logo and a new one on the same day, nothing has gone wrong. It only means we are partway through. Either way it is the same company and the same people.
Welcome to our new look!
You will see the change on the road first. Our vehicles are being rebranded department by department, so the RescueRod name and colours will appear across more of the fleet over the coming months. A new website is in development that will bring all five divisions into one place, making it easier to find the right team first time. Further ahead, planning permission has been granted for our wastewater treatment facility at Andover. Construction begins in late 2026 and the facility is due to be operational in 2027, giving us our own capacity for treating waste we currently move elsewhere.
There are more exciting things to come! We will share them as they happen.
None of this happens without the customers who kept calling us back, in some cases for decades. Thank you for that trust. If you have a question about what the change means for you, we would rather you asked than wondered. Give us a call on 01202 393541 or drop us a message at info@rescuerodgroup.com and we will talk it through.
Yes. RescueRod is the same company, led by Rob Simpson as Managing Director and formerly led by Kevin Rowledge, who remains a company director. The same teams still operate to the same standard, with the same service you have always had from us.
No. Clanville Draintech, Draintech Tankers, Dorset County Water and RM Liquid Disposal are now part of RescueRod, and the same teams continue to do the same work. Nothing has closed and nobody has gone anywhere.
No. Existing contracts remain in place and your usual contacts are unchanged. If anything does need updating on your side, such as a supplier name on your system, we will tell you what to change and when.
Becoming RescueRod does not itself change your pricing. As with any business, prices are reviewed from time to time, so the team will always confirm the current price when you book.
Call 01202 393541 or email info@rescuerodgroup.com. If you already have a direct number for your usual contact, keep using it.
